Hack4Europe! 2012 competition – registration open!

Europeana and selected partners are inviting talented developers and designers across Europe to the 2012 edition of the Hack4Europe! competition http://pro.europeana.eu/web/guest/hack4europe-2012.

Participants are encouraged to try out their ideas for creative reuse of the Europeana content and build marketable applications. Possible development themes include mobile apps, mash-ups, social curation, user annotations and World War One. Each hackathon will announce its own winners in 4 categories (best commercial viability, greatest social impact, most innovative app and developers' pick). Winners from the individual hackathons will be then further evaluated and one finalist per category will be invited and awarded a special prize during the Digital Agenda Assembly on 21–22 June in Brussels.

The road show will include 4 hackathons as shown below. Please check the individual hackathon pages for more details on registration, prizes and reimbursement.
