Optimization techniques pierced through many chapters of OR, because that “facilitates the choice and the implementation of more effective solutions which, typically, may involve complex interactions among people, materials and money problems” (see www.euro-online.org
). The latter challenge stimulates a study of existing techniques as well as development of new, heuristic concepts for optimization.
The scope of the Workshop of European Chapter on Metaheuristics (EUME
), held in Vilnius
, is to overview trends and to gain a common attitude towards latest challenges in metaheuristics and large-scale optimization
We encourage researchers, who develop their research related with optimization, to present it for the contributed sessions and take part in the tutorials to be organised during the Workshop.
