
This year marks important milestones for informatics in Lithuania – 45 years since the first programming tasks were published and the establishment of the Young Programmers’ School, as well as 40 years since the introduction of systematic informatics education in schools. One of the pioneers of this field in Lithuania is Assoc. Prof. Dr Gintautas Grigas, a long-standing member of the Institute of Data Science and Digital Technologies.
His work – ranging from early technological experiments to the development of programming teaching methodologies – has made a significant contribution to the advancement of informatics in Lithuania.
