AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Submitted papers must be original contributions and must not be accepted or submitted elsewhere until the decisions of the program committee are announced.

The official language of the conference is English. All submissions must, therefore, be in English.

Initial Submissions

The length for full research papers is 12 to 15 pages, for short communications is up to 8 pages in the LNCS/CCIS one-column page format, including references and appendices.

Initial submissions must be formatted according to the Springer template and should be submitted only in PDF format. Each submission needs to be accompanied with at least three appropriate keywords.

Springer provides instructions and templates for authors on preparing their manuscripts. Failure to comply with these requirements, including formatting, will result in automatic rejection of your paper.

All papers should be submitted electronically via the EasyChair Conference System at:
http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=balticdbis2018.

Camera-Ready Papers (Springer)

Camera-ready papers should be submitted both in source format (MS Word or LaTeX) and in PDF format. All camera-ready papers must conform to the Springer template according to the author instructions.

Authors also need to sign and submit the CCIS Consent to Publish form PDF. This form has to be signed by the authors of each paper, at least by the corresponding author, and presented electronically together with the final version of the paper.

Authors should follow the Checklist of items to be sent to the volume editor (see the checklist in the Springer Guidelines for Authors of Proceedings) and submit all as one archive via EasyChair.

Papers that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned to authors. If formatting problems are not corrected by authors, their paper will be omitted from the proceedings. The authors are responsible for preparing the final manuscript in time for its inclusion in the conference proceedings.

Post-Conference Proceedings

The selection of papers to be published in the Post-conference proceedings by IOS Press will be based on the quality of the camera ready paper and presentation of the paper at the conference. The decision about papers to be included in the Post-conference proceedings will be announced after the conference.

Papers selected to be included in the post-conference proceedings must be extended. The following principles must be followed: a) the extended version has to include at least 30% new material; b) it has to cite the original publication; and c) it must include an explicit statement about the increment (e.g., new results, better description of materials, etc.).

Papers must be submitted both in source format (MS Word or LaTeX) and in PDF format. All camera-ready papers must conform to the IOS Press template. Submission can be up to 14 pages at maximum.

Authors also need to sign and submit Copyright Agreement.

Papers that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned to authors. If formatting problems are not corrected by authors, their paper will be omitted from the proceedings.
