The participants who wish will be transferred from Vilnius to Nida and back to Vilnius through Klaipeda by bus (4-5 hours). The bus departs from Vilnius at 16:00, July 3, 2012, and back from Neringa, 10:00, July 7, 2012.
Vilnius the capital of Lithuania, is directly connected by plane and other transport with many cities in Europe. Participants might also arrive to Neringa itself through Klaipeda city and Palanga airport.
Neringa is a sandy peninsula between the shallow Kurshiu Lagoon and the Baltic sea, accessed from the Lithuanian coast only by water. There are several sea-side resorts in Neringa: Nida, Juodkrante, Preila.
Nida can be accessed via the cities of Klaipeda/Palanga and Vilnius (see travel map below).    
Via Palanga
Easiest way to Nida is via the city of Klaipeda or sea-side resort Palanga
Lithuanian Airlines will take you to Palanga and Kaunas from the airports of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt (Main), Hamburg, Hanover, Tallin. See a schedule and rates at the web-site of Palanga airport
The travel from Palanga to Klaipeda takes up about 20 minutes by bus or car. Neringa is reached from Klaipeda in 15 minutes by ferry to Smiltyne (see a map of Klaipeda).

Via Vilnius
The way from Vilnius to Klaipeda takes up 4-5 hours by train, bus or car and costs about 70Lt. The trip from Klaipeda to Nida is as described about the way via Palanga.

Important note
Those arriving in Lithuania, to Klaipeda or  Vilnius, are asked to let us know the time of your arrival to assist your further trip to Nida.
The organisers of the STOPROG-2012 arrange a charter bus for the participants that departs from Vilnius to Nida on Tuesday, July 3, 16:00. The Conference bus departs back from Nida to Vilnius on Saturday, July 7, 10:00. The bus will be waiting participants on July 3 at 15:00, at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics (II House)  by the address:  Goshtauto st 12, Vilnius (see the map of Vilnius and travel map below).
If your arrival in Vilnius does not match the STOPROG-2012 bus schedule you should reach Neringa and Nida on your own.
Currency and Credit Cards
The official currency in Lithuania is Litas, which is bound to € with 3.4528 Litas for  € 1. Currency can be exchanged at the airport, banks and in hotels. Visa and Master Card are accepted in most shops, hotels and restaurants. You will find a cash dispenser on nearly every corner.
